Barksdale's Second SB Stop

Ohio Class of 2012 wide receiver Tres Barksdale made a visit to campus for the Irish battle against Pittsburgh. We check in with Tres to see how things went on his trip to South Bend.

The second trip to South Bend and the campus of Notre Dame was just as good as the time he came to camp according to Tres Barksdale of Solon, Ohio.

At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Barksdale has the size Brian Kelly has shown to like over the years from his receivers. What have the Irish said to the talented wide out?

"I got a chance to speak with Coach Warinner. I have been receiving things from Notre Dame all along and getting emails from them. Coach Warinner said they really like my tape and said he'll be making a trip to see me in December."

As for his visit, Barksdals was blown away like many first time game visitors.

"It was amazing! It was really cool, the campus was amazing, and the offense they run wide receivers love to play in because they know how to use them to their full potential. All things with the school were great and Notre Dame is such a nice place. The coaches seem real cool and you know the school is one of the best in the country."

Barksdale has visited Ohio State and Michigan already and hearing from Iowa, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Texas A&M.

So far this season Barksdale is having a solid year despite playing in a running offense.

"Things are going really well. I have 18 catches for just over 390 yards and 4 touchdowns. Our offense is more of a running style of offense, but I get my chances."

The Irish had a chance to watch Tres in camp and from the looks of things, he will be a player they will continue to be checking out.
