Chase Patton had a solid junior season passing for 2,680 yards and 23 touchdowns. His highlight film is being touted as one of the most impressive films seen by Insiders experts. He should have many more offers after the May evaluation period.

Patton has six offers already. "Georigia just offered me today," said Patton. "Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa and Tennessee have also offered me."

The phone has been ringing as well. "I just talked to Notre Dame yesterday. Coach Walters called and said that I am one of seven quarterbacks that they are evaluating and that they look forward to seeing me in their camp. I also spoke to Michigan and Purdue." Other schools have been stopping by his high school as well. "Notre Dame came by yesterday, Oklahoma, UCLA, Kansas State and Missouri have been by recently."

Patton plans to attend some camps as well. "I am going to the Notre Dame camp in June. I will go to Michigan and Tennessee for or day or two. My team has a camp at Missouri and I might head to Purdue passing camp."

The star quarterback is also set academically. "I have a 3.7 core GPA and I scored a 27 on my ACT."

Academics will play a big role in his decision. "I'm looking for the best balance of academics and football. I will also look at their philosophy on offense and the tradition of the school."

Patton plans to take his time with his decision. "Unless something feels perfect, I will probably take all my visits. I want to make sure it's right and meet the players and make sure I feel comfortable there."

Patton is very interested in Notre Dame. "I'm definitely interested. Coach Willingham has done a great job there. Their academics programs are fantastic. The program and their tradition is great. There is a lot to like about Notre Dame and there isn't much bad about it."

The Missouri prospect said he plans to do some research over the summer before he plans to narrow down his list. His parents are in the medical field and plan to move if he goes away for school so distance isn't a big deal.

Comments. Irish fans can't ask for more. Great kid, great quarterback, great student, he's interested in Notre Dame and he is attending camp. The Irish should have a good shot at him if they do offer him.
