Notre Dame Target Predictions, Part I

RB Keith Marshall

Notre Dame still has approximately two dozen recruits -- some committed to other schools and most uncommitted -- on their board. IrishEyes.com enlisted the thoughts of Scout.com's national and regional recruiting analysts for thoughts and predictions on each player. Please enjoy the first part of the series.

With the season winding down, recruiting is getting ready to heat up. There are only three official visit weekends left in Notre Dame's 2011 calendar, which is huge since many of the prospects will either announce at January all-star games or will enroll in January, and therefore have to make decisions sooner rather than later.

In this multi-part feature, IrishEyes.com checked in with Scout.com's recruiting analysts, and asked them for thoughts on where Notre Dame targets would wind up.

Things change in recruiting, but here is where the analysts who regularly cover the prospects believe those targets will end up. It begins with this, the first part:

Amara Darboh
WR Amara Darboh, 6-2, 200, Dowling High, West Des Moines (Iowa): Iowa is making a strong push here, but I think his best chance for early playing time is in Ann Arbor.
Allen Trieu's prediction: Michigan

Odenigbo
OLB Ifeadi Odenigbo, 6-3, 220, Centerville (Ohio) High: Academics are the key in this one. I think it's Notre Dame, Stanford and Northwestern right now, and I think because of their prestige in the classroom, the Cardinal will win out.
Allen Trieu's prediction: Stanford

Diamond
OT Jordan Diamond, 6-6, 290, Simeon Vocational (Chicago): This on is getting hard to call. I could see Iowa, Notre Dame, Wisconsin or even a school like Arkansas creeping in. I think the amount of linemen the Hawkeyes and Badgers send to the pros gives both schools a great shot.
Allen Trieu's prediction: Wisconsin

Ayoola
RB Dami Ayoola, 5-10, 195, St. Thomas Aquinas High (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.): He has played his cards close to the vest since the beginning. Rutgers has always been a school in the mix and we know he has official visits to Illinois and Notre Dame coming up. This one is really up in the air at this time.
Chad Simmons' prediction: Notre Dame

Marshall
RB Keith Marshall, 5-11, 190, Millbrook High (Raleigh, N.C.): Marshall started to let coaches know now he is only looking at a select group of schools. Clemson is making a late push for Marshall, and they are having a big year with Sammy Watkins starring as a freshman, but it will likely be tough for them to pull him in the end. Florida, Georiga, and Notre Dame are the big three right now.
Chad Simmons' prediction: Georgia

Agholor
WR Nelson Agholor, 6-1, 175, Berkeley Prep (Tampa): This is one of the toughest prospects to read, but it looks like two schools currently stand out, Florida and Notre Dame. Oklahoma and USC are still involved as well as others.
Chad Simmons' prediction: Florida

Theus
OT John Theus, 6-6, 292, The Bolles School (Jacksonville): This 5-star offensive tackle has family at Geogia and coach Mark Richt has answered the bell this year, so the Dawgs look to be in good shape here.
Chad Simmons' prediction:Georgia
