This weekend finds Deontay Greenberry
taking another official visit as Irish fans await his signature Wednesday on a letter of intent.
While visits in the past have sparked talk of Greenberry being a possible flip from the Irish and seen his status changed to soft verbal, this visit is more of a social visit from the talented wide receiver from Fresno (Calif.) Washington Union High School.
Greenberry, who visited Arizona State in the past, was drawn to Houston by the same coach (Jamie Christian) responsible for his recruitment for the Sun Devils.
While you never say never in the recruiting game, the fact Greenberry's cousin Tee Shepard has already enrolled at Notre Dame and the desire both players have shown in being together in college, Irisheyes.com does not feel this is anything more than a way for Greenberry to be wined and dined one last time before officially becoming Irish.
With a last minute visit by one of Notre Dame's top pledges some Irish fans may be questioning what Deontay Greenberry is doing. In the end it's really not a big surprise the five-star athlete has taken another visit.
Irish fans should not be alarmed by the latest visit being made by Deontay Greenberry.
