Strengths

Very strong arm with a lot of mileage still on it as he's played in a high profile program earning the fulltime starting role just this past season. Very strong throwing on rollouts, however, he's willing to sit in the pocket and take the big hit if it means making a big play.

Weakness

Experience on the field as he shared reps during his sophomore year before becoming the fulltime starter his junior year. On the field he plays in a run first scheme that has slowed some of his early development.

Overall

I've had the chance to watch Zaire the past two seasons and seen his growth each year. He's still in the development phase with a high ceiling as a signal caller who can run Brian Kelly's offensive scheme. Not only can Zaire run with the ball, he can run with authority as he's got a stocky build and is physically strong. Throws a tight ball with good velocity with solid overall mechanics.

Early Thoughts

Zaire is expecting to visit at some point in March. Other quarterbacks taking hard looks at the Irish need to take notice because there is a very good chance Zaire could give the Irish his pledge shortly after the visit. Zaire is not afraid of competition and understands the structure Notre Dame provides their students athletes. He has the talent to give the Irish a quarterback with spread skills with both his arm and legs.
