Onwualu Gives Irish No. 3 in 2013 Class

Cretin-Derham Hall (Minn.) receiver James Onwualu was set to make his announcement on Thursday, but he decided to go public with it today. He is the third member of Notre Dame's 2013 class. Check out what the Irish are getting with his junior highlights.

James Onwualu was going to announce his college decision Thursday during a ceremony at this school.

Instead, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver from Cretin-Derham Hall (Minn.) decided to public with his decision to commit to Notre Dame tonight.

He chose the Irish over other finalists Stanford, Minnesota and Michigan.

"Each time I visited Notre Dame, the pull became stronger,'' Onwualu told the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press. "When I visited other schools, I kept comparing them to Notre Dame."

Onwuau made 25 catches for 356 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. He also rushed 68 times for 474 yards and seven scores.
