Former Glenbrook North star Alex Dragicevich announced his intentions to transfer from Notre Dame, and informed PurpleWildcats.com that he would consider Northwestern as an option.

"I'm wide open to any school," Dragicevich said via text message. "I would be interested in NU if they did contact me."

Sources told PurpleWildcats.com that Northwestern may have interest in the 6-foot-7 guard.

Dragicevich, a native of Northbrook, Ill., received recruiting interest from the Wildcats in high school, but never received a scholarship offer.

During his sophomore season, Dragicevich played in 34 contests, starting 10, and averaged 6.6 points per game for the Fighting Irish. He will finish the semester in South Bend. He posted double-figure points in seven outing for Notre Dame.

"My staff, players and I, in addition to our entire Notre Dame basketball family, wish Alex nothing but the best as he continues his playing career at another institution," said Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey in a statement to the media.
