Before the spring began, Thomas Jefferson High (Brooklyn) defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko was committed to Connecticut, and a relative unknown even in his region.
Now, he holds close to two dozen offers, has re-opened his recruitment, and is trying to grasp the magnitude of Notre Dame offering him a scholarship Monday, the same day the staff stopped by the school.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Ogundeko was blown away by the Notre Dame offer, and he told IrishEyes.com he has strong interest in the Irish.
"Notre Dame is really catching my eye," he said. "It's a very traditional school, and I'm planning to visit in July."
Ogundeko holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Stanford.
He told Scout.com last week his top six of Connecticut, Alabama, Florida, Syracuse, Arizona State and Boise State.
However, with his new flurry of offers, that has changed his thinking.
Also, Ogundeko was going to announce he decision on signing day, but he recently learned he will gradate in December, so he will enroll in a school in January.
