Notre Dame already has one highly-regarded tight end in the 2013 class, and the Irish are among the 12 schools four-star tight end Josh McNeil is considering.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound McNeil, who plays at Hillside High in Durham, N.C., cut his extensive list to 10 schools.
McNeil announced his 10 finalists as "Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina State, Oregon, California, South Carolina, Clemson, East Carolina and Notre Dame" in a text to IrishEyes.com.
The Irish recently offered McNeil despite having Barron Collier High (Naples, Fla.) tight end Mike Heuerman committed in the 2013 class.
McNeil’s only season of football came in the fall when he made 60 catches for 600 yards and seven touchdowns.
