Notre Dame continues to recruit versatile defensive ends who can play the CAT position and Julian High (Chicago) standout Demetrius Cooper fits that tag. Check out his junior highlights and see why the Irish offered.

Notre Dame remains in the mix for several defensive ends to play the CAT position in its 3-4 defense, and one is Demetrius Cooper of Chicago's Julian High.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Cooper lines up as a defensive end, split out near the slot and standing up as a linebacker.

Cooper is planning a fall visit to Notre Dame, although he is unsure if it will be an official or unofficial. He is also hearing plenty from Michigan State.
