Johnny Johnson has consistently mentioned Notre Dame on his short list and was hoping to check out the Irish take on Michigan this weekend.
“Coach Denbrock is the one recruiting me and I think we just had some miscommunication,” Johnson said. “I told him in the summer I wanted to visit but we haven’t talked much since. I called him a few times and never got a hold of him but one of my coaches talked to him and it sounds like I’ll visit another weekend.
“I think they’re going to come down to the school and talk to me. I guess they just want to make sure I’m really interested before they trip me out. I do have sincere interest so hopefully it works out and I’ll be able to get out there.”
Johnson’s Central teammate L.J. Moore will be in South Bend this weekend and both players along with Oklahoma commit Hatari Byrd will visit the Sooners (Oct. 26). UCLA and Stanford remain the two to beat at this time.
