Junior Bryce Dixon (6'4/220) plays tight end and defensive end of his Saint
Bonaventure team, and he makes an impact on both sides of the ball. It's on
offense though where he truly shines. With the grace of a receiver in the body
of a tight end, Dixon is a tough cover for linebackers and defensive backs
alike.
Dixon shows excellent body control while leaping up for a ball in traffic or
simply adjusting to a throw that isn't right on target. He runs well enough to
leave most players behind once he gets stretched out in full stride. Dixon will
need to continue to fill out and learn to play in the trenches to reach his full
time potential at tight end, but when it comes to the passing game, it will be
tough to find a better receiving tight end in the Class of 2014 than Dixon. He already claims an offer from Miami.
See him in action from his game against Corona Centennial earlier this year, and
be sure to catch him in tonight's showdown with No. 2 Santa Margarita (FOX
Sports Next Top 50) streamed live on Prepzone.
