Van Nuys, Calif. running back Milton Knox
visited Notre Dame over the weekend and came away impressed with South Bend and the Irish.
"It was real cool. It went really good," said Knox. "I liked it there a lot.
"I got to hang out with Jimmy (Clausen) again, which was great. I got to meet a lot of great guys. I really liked it."
Did ND meet his expectations?
"It was better than what I thought it'd be. A lot better," he said. "It's a lot different than I thought it would be. It's a really cool place. Dayne (Crist) told me that you just have to experience it and that you can't really explain it and he was right. You get that feeling when you walk around the place. I loved it.
"It's really kind of cool. You've got guys from Jersey, Florida, California, Texas, all over the place coming to this one school in Indiana. They all come for one reason. It really is pretty cool to see that."
Anything he didn't like about Notre Dame?
"Probably the cold weather," he said. "I wasn't freezing or anything. That will take some getting used to. It wasn't bad. It's like anything. You have to make sacrifices. I can make that sacrifice and I'll be rewarded for 30 years."
So did he commit to Notre Dame on his visit?
"No, I didn't, but I liked it a lot."
The Scout.com four-star running back says he already knows when he plans to announce his decision.
"I plan on going home and talking it over with my family. I'll announce my decision on Signing Day," he said.
"I'll decide between Notre Dame, Florida and UCLA," he added.
Notre Dame had a second visitor in this weekend in California running back Milton Knox. Irish Eyes was also able to reach Milton to get his reaction to his first visit to South Bend. Do the Irish have a real shot at Knox?
