"I had a pretty good season. I had 50 receptions for 1070 yards and 10 touchdowns. I also had 217 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. I threw for a touchdown. I had 3 interceptions, one I ran back for a touchdown and I also had a kickoff and punt return for a touchdown." Jeff's team lost in the semi-finals of the state playoffs. "It was frustrating. We had just beat Penn which beat us early in the year and we just had a bad game."
Jeff has been to Notre Dame more times than I have so I asked him what he would be looking for on this official visit. "This weekend is going to be a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to it. I just want to get that one step closer. You don't really get inside when you go to a game or to practice. I want to see what it's like on the inside. I want to meet the players and the recruits and see what is behind the wall that you don't get to see. I am really looking forward to that."
Jeff has already met some of his current teammates at the games. "I got to hang out a bit with Brady Quinn, Chinedum Ndukwe, Joe Brockington and David Marrero. All of them are good guys and I look forward to playing with them."
I asked Jeff what he plans to do now that football is over. "Well, I am not playing basketball this year. I decided to concentrate on my baseball season. I want to be ready and have a good season in baseball." Jeff is a pretty darn good baseball player as well. He pitches, plays 3rd base, 2nd base and the outfield.
Comments. Good luck to Jeff. He is going to love his 4 years in South Bend and be a fine representative of Notre Dame.
