Lueders Makes The Call To ND

Notre Dame has added another commitment to their 2010 recruiting class as Blake Lueders from Zionsville Community High School (Ind.) called the Notre Dame coaches to inform them that he wanted to accept their scholarship offer.

Defensive end Blake Lueders adds to the growing list of commitments for Notre Dame's 2010 recruiting class. Lueders spent Tuesday in South Bend on an unofficial visit and called the Irish coaches today.

"I went up there on Tuesday with my dad," Lueders said of his recent trip to Notre Dame. "I was going up there thinking that I was going to commit, but I really wanted to sleep on it for awhile and make sure that I made the right choice. I just felt it was the right place for me. So I had to commit (today).

"It's the best combination of academics and football. I love the coaches, the players and the tradition. I felt comfortable there and I just felt that it was the right place for me. My dad met some of the coaches and he hadn't met coach Weis. My dad is really excited and he's really proud of me and he feels that I made a great choice.

"After all of that it just reaffirmed everything for me," Blake added
