Irish will face Cincinnati, Connecticut, and South Florida in home-and-home Big East action this season.

Though dates and times have yet to be determined, the 2009-10 Irish Basketball squad has a better idea of the challenges that await, as the Big East Conference announced the league’s slate of opponents and locations for the upcoming season.

The Irish (8-10 in conference action last season), will again play 18 conference games, including nine road games at Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Rutgers, Seton Hall, South Florida, and Villanova.

The home slate of opponents is as follows: Cincinnati, Connecticut, DePaul, Pittsburgh, Providence, South Florida, St. John’s, Syracuse, and West Virginia.

Cincinnati, Connecticut, and South Florida represent the conference home/home matchups for the Irish this season.

The Irish have won 52 of their last 55 home contests and hold a 33-19 regular season conference mark over the last three years.
