Irish AD begins coaching search

Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick met with the media Monday night to announce that Charlie Weis would not be retained as Notre Dame's head football coach. Swarbrick said he has begun a search for Weis' replacement.

After dropping the final four contests of the 2009 season, and several weeks of speculation, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick announced to the media that Charlie Weis would not be retained as the head football coach at Notre Dame.
