Notre Dame and Army have a lot of history between them. The Irish popularized the forward pass in the 1913 meeting. Sportswriter Grantland Rice introduced the nation to “The Four Horsemen” when they got together in 1924. In 1928, Knute Rockne delivered his “Win One for the Gipper” speech.
