Wins over two ranked, undefeated teams, Alabama and Maryland, propelled the Irish into the Associated Press Top 25 at the 21st spot. The last image of this team was the upset over the Crimson Tide at the Joyce Center in front of an ESPN audience. The big victory strengthened 7-1 Notre Dame’s tournament resume.
