STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman running back Robert Hughes’ 45-yard run on Notre Dame’s first play from scrimmage was the longest play from scrimmage for the Irish this season. Later in the game, Hughes had a 44-yard run. The freshman finished the game, which also marked his first-career start, with 136 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
