2005: Laws is simply tenacious. He’s always moving and fighting. Trevor has great technique, cat-like quickness and leverages well. Rushes the passer extremely well for a DT. He may have worn down a bit toward the end of last year, but another year in the program will help boost his strength. Laws will team with Derek Landri to make an outstanding duo on the interior of the Irish defensive line.
2004: Laws help the Irish defense hold opponents to 88 yards rushing per game and the #5 ranking nationally against the run. He’s certainly a guy that exceeded our expectations. Generally sophomore defensive tackles have difficulty matching up with more mature offensive linemen, but Laws more than held his own and was generally distruptive. He played his first downs in the opener against BYU, where he registered a season high 5 tackles and added his first career sack.
2003: Did not play as a freshman.
