2005: Richardson has good size and good speed. Last year he got turned around a couple times in coverage, but he generally did a very solid job in his first year of extensive playing time…he was still relatively young last year. Richardson should be considered a lock for one of the open cornerback spots, and we expect him to have a solid year under the tutelage of coach Lewis.
2004: Richardson received his first career start against Purdue…he also started against Stanford, Tennessee and Pitt. He was 11th on the team in tackles and tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (3). He had his 1st career INT against MSU. He played nearly every special team down during the year, and for the second straight year, he led the team in special teams appearances (242).
2003: Richardson played in all 12 games, almost exclusively on special teams. He made his first career appearance at corner back against WSU...he did see more time at CB later in the year. Made his first career tackle against MSU. Led the team in special teams appearances with 243.
2002: Did not see action as a freshman CB.
High School: Played WR and CB. Caught 12 passes for 180 yards, rushed for 361 yards on 82 carries, 7 TDs as senior. Sprinter on track team. 14.4 110 hurdles and 38.0 in 300 hurdles. Final School: Originally committed to Wake Forest.
