| Cumbie is a versatile athlete that could play several postions on either side of the football at the next level. Excellent blocker and could create mismatches in the red-zone. Good quickness. Solid charchter and good work ethic. Defensive end, tight end or offensive lineman at the next level. |
| Biography: |
| Cumbie moved from South Carolina to Illinois during the winter of his sophomore year. As a junior at Morris, Jamie played tight end and defensive tackle. He's a very good athlete for his size and he could play tight end, defensive end or even offensive guard or tackle at the next level.
Cumbie had 300 yards receiving in 2004 and on the defensive side of the ball he had 70 tackles and 6 sacks.
Cumbie: "I'm a good blocker on offense and I've got some good hands. I know how to get open and I can run some good routes. On defense I'm a good pass end rush defender. I can get across the line quick and I also really love using my hands on defense. I'd actually prefer to play defense in college but we'll have to see where the coaches want me."
