| Jones has a great combination of size, speed, quickness, and athleticism. He is tough over the middle and can get behind the secondary. Jones can take the short pass and make the first defender miss or run right through him. He's so dangerous with the ball in his hands because of his sheer size, power, speed and elusiveness. Jones has very good balance and super vision. . Jones is also super in the air and he has great hands. |

Jones' career totals at Foley High School for his sophomore, junior and senior seasons are as follows: 194 receptions for 3,287 yards, 43 touchdowns. Three rushing touchdowns, two kick return touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns and two fumble recovered and taken for touchdowns. Total touchdowns---52.
Jones' reception number (75) in 2006 placed him first in Foley's record book. His 68 in 2006 was good for second place and his sophomore total of 51 was good enough to take the show position in third to round out the triple. His 1,301 yards during his junior season is also good enough to take first place in the record book.
His number of career receptions (194), total touchdowns (52) and career receiving yardage (3,287) are also Foley records.
2007: Jones recorded 68 receptions for 1,181 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had one rushing touchdown. Julio added another touchdown on special teams play for a total of 18.
2007 Awards: Jones was named Alabama's Mr. Football and was named to The Tampa Tribune's sixth annual Best of the South team, which is selected by college recruiting coordinators.

Jones finished his junior season with 75 receptions for 1,301 yards receiving and found the end zone 15 times. Including defensive and special teams scores he reached the end zone 20 times during the 2006 season.
Jones was named first team All-State for his junior season 2006 by the ASWA.
Jones showed signs of what he would do in the next two years in his sophomore season when he caught 51 passes for 805 yards and 12 touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown and a special teams score to bring the total to 14.
