| A vertical threat in the truest sense, Patterson stretches the field and often requires a bracket. He is nearly impossible to jam at the LOS, due to his exceptional upper-body strength. Already a legitimate red-zone threat, he climbs the ladder as well as anybody and wins most jump balls. Puts defenses in a bind because he escapes the jam/press and instantly gets vertical...if corners play off, he is very hard to tackle in space--Burke Hayes |
| Biography: |
Patterson caught 56 passes for 960 yards during his senior year. The senior was named First Team All-State 2A by AJC and GSWA. Selected Orlando All-Southern Team (GA), Mobile Press Register's Super Southeast 120 and Georgia Magazine First Team.
Patterson finished his junior season (10-2) with 44 catches for 933 yards and 11 touchdowns. He helped lead his team to the 3A regional championship. Henry County High lost in the second round of the state championship.
Patterson plans to major in psychology and is a stellar student. He reports a 4.5 core GPA (with several honors/advanced placement classes) and a 23 ACT.
Patterson is coming off a strong sophomore season where he had 28 receptions with seven touchdowns. Patterson also competes in the 110m (14.5) and the 300m hurdles (38.19) and definitely wants to run track in college.
Patterson: "I have good power and can run through the middle. I can catch the ball in the middle and I have a great vertical jump (38-inches). I'm tall and am a great red zone threat. I'm a total package wide receiver.
"I want to get quicker off the line and I'm always working on my footwork."
