| Dior Mathis played on varsity as a sophomore at wide receiver and cornerback. Has been one of the state's top sprinters since his freshman year, recording times as fast as 10.4 in the 100m dash. Started on both sides of the ball as a junior and finished with 15 receiving touchdowns and eight interceptions. The speedster says he can bench 255-pounds and claims a 38-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (2-3) stats: four touchdowns receiving and two interceptions on defense.
Mathis plans on majoring in communications and reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 19 ACT.
Mathis: “I have great speed, agility, quickness and acceleration. I can come up and make a big tackle too. I’m like a finesse corner. I’m nice and smooth.
“I want to improve my tackling technique. And just be more aggressive overall.”
